When I soon to be new parents book me for their newborns photos, I immediately start planning. It is important to me to include things that are important to them. I go through a series of questions to create a unique session that they will love. The final images should look like they belong in their home. No cookie cutter photos allowed here.
This session is very special. Remedy is adopted. Her parents waiting a very long time for her. They had heartbreak a long the way & filled out PILES and PILES of paperwork. But you know what? That long, difficult road was all worth it. We captured the result of those piles and piles of papers….

Her parents are beekeepers. I had a vision in my head of exactly what I wanted to do… I wasn’t able to find exactly what I was after so I had a family member build a honey comb unit for me out of reclaimed barn wood. I hand felted the honey layers myself & I contacted a vendor to have this little bumblebee romper made for this shot!

Remedy’s parents are beaming. They’ve loved her for a long time. They had love pouring from their hearts LONG before they laid eyes on her. I can see it looking at the images of them. THIS is what I really strive to capture.

This little girl is beautifully and wonderfully made.
