I'm a passionate photographer based in Lindstrom, MN, specializing in capturing life's precious moments for families in the Twin Cities, North Metro, and surrounding areas. I feel incredibly lucky to document the magic of maternity, the wonder of newborns, and the joy of families with beautiful, timeless portraits that you'll cherish for a lifetime.

My journey into photography began with the most precious inspiration – my family. Married to my high school sweetheart, Bret, we're parents to two amazing teenagers, Ian (15) and Eva (14). My love for photography blossomed after I became a mother. Capturing every single milestone became an obsession, and I'm so grateful I did. Time truly flies, and while I never thought I'd forget those precious moments, new motherhood is a whirlwind of exhaustion and busy schedules. The truth is, some of those milestones do fade. Babies turn into toddlers, then school-aged children – a constant current of growth and change.

Photographing expectant mothers and newborns brings me immense joy. I've earned the nickname "baby whisperer" from family, friends, and clients alike. There's a calming sense that washes over me when I hold, pose, and photograph these tiny humans. Perhaps it's a natural gift, as someone once told me.

Family sessions, on the other hand, are pure fun! Laughter, games, and genuine connection are the hallmarks of my approach. I ditch the forced smiles and "cheese" poses, focusing instead on capturing the authentic love and personalities that make your family unique. Of course, I understand Grandma might cherish a few traditional "smile for the camera" shots, so don't worry, I won't forget those entirely!

Over the past 15 years, I've honed my craft, primarily self-taught but constantly learning through classes, workshops, retreats, and collaborations with fellow photographers. Newborn safety is paramount, and I take it very seriously. I'm proud to say I'm well trained in that department!
